‘Costume is pivotal in bringing us together on stage to form the feeling of a tribe. They’re a form of escape and disguise from true identities and individuality but at the same time make us recognisable as a Gaggle. They aren’t designed to be sexy but to be interesting, provocative and weird. Previous costumes I have done have taken inspiration everywhere from African tribes, Greek gods, creepy voodoo dolls, space age wizards and hyper superheroes. I work with characters in mind and think of the girls as other-worldly creatures.’
